The new Hyatt 48 Lex selects my hanging artichoke still life for the hotel’s art program

The Hyatt 48 Lex, a luxury boutique hotel in midtown Manhattan, recently selected one of my still life images for a hand-curated art program.
According to Hyatt’s press release, “Hyatt 48 Lex offers a unique art program in the studios and suites with pieces by New York-based photographer, Kelly Neal, and vintage sheet music and magazines layered with acrylic on canvas by New York City artist, Susan Reedy.”
I started shooting this project in 2008.
ABOUT KELLY
Kelly Neal is a New York-based photographer. He received an MFA in photography from the School of Visual Arts in 2007.
Neal's still life work was selected for a hand-curated art program that is featured in Hyatt's newly opened hotel, the Lex 48 in Manhattan.
Neal served as The Lambent Foundation's first artist-in-residence last year. In 2009, he attended Review Santa Fe and was named a semi-finalist in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Competition.
He has experience shooting fashion, food, and culture editorial assignments, events and parties, and for private clients.
Neal teaches private photography lessons and workshops to beginning photographers, students, small business owners, and photography professionals. He also offers consulting on software programs such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. He lives in Brooklyn, N.Y.
